"For an effective City Council, good intentions alone aren't enough — you need the analytical chops to dig into data and understand what’s important, and the practical judgement and empathy to weigh the tradeoffs and make choices that hold up for the community over time. That’s why Bryna was such a heavyweight on the Planning Commission, and will be again on Council. Any councilmember can make the easy decisions; but for the hard ones, you want people like Bryna Chang. She’ll be especially valuable on City finances. I encouraged Bryna to run, and I'm proud to support her campaign."

"As former Mayor of Palo Alto and current Midpen Open Space board member, I am so excited that Bryna Chang is running for Palo Alto City Council! She combines big picture thinking with attention to details, always with her eye on building a sustainable, vibrant Palo Alto for future generations. Bryna will be the leader we need - smart, thoughtful, with the right values."
"Bryna Chang supports a strong inclusive community as seen by her affordable housing advocacy informed and fueled by unusually deep policy experience. As a longtime member and Chair of the Planning and Transportation Commission, Bryna has tirelessly pushed for genuinely affordable low and moderate-income housing. She recognizes the need for more 2, 3, and 4-bedroom apartments to accommodate larger households rather than exclude them from our city. Based on her record, experience and ability, Bryna Chang is who we need making smart housing policy on our City Council."
